Product Description: Innovative features and flexibility enable the power Kicker's crossovers to expand any car audio system. The KX3 is an 18 dB/octave, 2- or 3-way continuously variable crossover with separate frequency adjustments for high- and low-pass outputs. The front high-pass output has an x20 frequency multiplier for running separate tweeters, and the subwoofer outputs features a variable bass boost. Best of all, this crossover includes a switchable subsonic filter and independently adjustable output levels for the ultimate in system flexibility. Kicker's sophisticated KX3 is a great first step in adding separate amplifiers to your audio system. Also called an infrasonic filter, a subsonic filter cuts off extremely low bass (below the range of human hearing) that many speakers cannot effectively reproduce, thereby making the amp's power supply and output devices, and the speaker, more efficient.
The amount of continuous power, measured in watts, that an amplifier produces is called RMS power. The higher the RMS figure, the louder and cleaner your music sounds. When choosing an amplifier, the RMS rating is the power rating you should pay most attention to.
