CAN bus interface for Navigation System
CAN bus interface CAN (Controlled Area Network) is a form of multiplexed wiring - designed by Bosch - to share information and link control systems together on a vehicle. With CAN bus a large number of signals can be transferred digitally using only a pair of twisted wires. In the past it was necessary to have at least one wire for every signal on a vehicle - making wiring looms bulky and expensive. Celsus provide a range of CAN Bus converters that allow interface of aftermarket accessories.
The following analogue outputs are available:
- Speed Pulse
- Reverse
- Handbrake/Parking
- Ignition
- Illumination
- Speed dependant (12v output between 0 mph and 6 mph)
- Directional ground control
Key features of the CAN Bus interface:
- Outputs have 1A/12W drive capability
- Sleep mode with quiescent current <1mA
- LED status indicator
- Compact size (75mm x 45mm x 15mm)
- Quick release harness connector
