Now there is no need to fit expensive screens into the front of the vehicle. AVR can route iPod video or external DVD into the original factory-fitted screen. If you have screens fitted in the rear of the car it can route an alternative source there at the same time: navigation in the front DVD in the back DVD in the front iPod video in the back.
AVR puts you in control bringing your whole DVD collection into the car and all with the controls on your radio or iDrive.

Which cars?

The following cars and head units are compatible with AVR:

• Porsche Cayenne with PCM 2.1 Head Units where TV-Tuner function available from 2005 May
• BMW with i-Drive Professional (CCC 8.8" Dual Slot)
• Mercedes Command NTG 1 & NTG 2
• Audi MMI2 with TV-Tuner
• In cases of BMW and Porsche it may be necessary to have the car programmed by your dealer in order to accept the TV function and use your AVR device.
